Meet Patrick

I’m passionate about serving Edmonton and helping our community thrive. My background has given me unique insights and skills to address the challenges we face today. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in areas like federal policing, national security, government reform, finance, and military procurement, giving me a practical and well-rounded perspective.

My academic journey led me to earn a PhD and author several critically acclaimed books, including At Home and Abroad: The Canada-US Relationship and Canada’s Place in the World. My professional life has allowed me to experience the richness of our country firsthand, having lived and worked in Halifax, Toronto, Calgary, and Ottawa. I’ve also had the privilege of teaching at three universities, speaking internationally, and working alongside the Canadian Navy overseas in the Middle East as part of my research and advocacy work.

Edmonton is home for me, my wife, and our three boys. My youngest son has special needs, and he is one of the strongest inspirations behind my decision to enter politics. I’m dedicated to advocating for families, building inclusive communities, and ensuring a brighter future for everyone
